Darn Rain......

I haven't been working on the deck project lately as it has been raining on my days off from work. Hopefully it will be clear again on Sunday.

Sad Day......

Turned 50 today!! At least I'll start getting those AARP discounts now.

Deck Update.....

Ok, the footer posts went in smooth. We have framed the deck area and have started laying the planks. Then my son-in-law brought up a VERY GOOD point!!! Conduit for the power. All decks need to have electricity. So I guess I'll get my butt back to Home Depot and buy some!!! Also I'll have to go to a bolt & screw wholesaler to get the deck screws. At Home Depot the are $13.91 a box..... Ouch!!! I'll need about $200 worth that way!!!!. It "should" be 40% cheaper at a wholesaler. We'll see.

New Project.....

We're starting to put a deck on the back of the house. It's a long overdue project. The footer posts go in tommorrow. It "should" done in a month or so depending on the weather and funding.

I'll get back here in a day or so and let you know how things are going.

It Took a While But.......

The new fence is FINALLY done!!! Looks great too. Now it's on to other projects like working on the deck. Anyone got a spare "grand" they'd like to part with?
