Holly cow, It's been over 3 years since I posted here last. I just haven't really been in to the whole computer thing I guess.

Well, it's been six years but it was time to do a little painting inside the house. We were getting a little tired of looking at "egg shell" colored walls, so we both decided to add some color. After the usual bickering about what we both liked we settled on what we were going to paint. The den is a coffee colored brown, but it looks like a honey mustard shade. It looks OUTSTANDING compared to off-white........... The foyer and hallway is a "sage" color. It blends well with the den. The living room is a medium to dark greenish color. We both like it a lot. I FINALLY kicked my brother-in-law out so we painted his old room kind of a light rose color. I think it is going to be a crafting room for Maggie.

Anyways, we are about done with that project, so I guess we need to put some stain on the deck before the sun totally screws it up. More on that later.

Time sure flies when you've been busy.

I can't believe it's going on a year since I posted last. Let's see, what's being going on?

I just bought a new laptop. It's a Dell Inspiron E1505. It's got Windows Vista Home Premium installed. Vista "seems" to be a good operating system. I guess the "jury is still out" on that as Vista is only 4 months old. It does have a lot of "bells & whistles" built into it.

I'm still at the liquor store. It's an OK job I guess. At least it's not a whole lot of manual labor. That's what my 2 employees are for. :-) Hey, they are a lot younger than I am.

I haven't been doing a lot to the house lately, but I do need to get into gear and start. There is about 4 unfinished projects.

Well, I guess I'll get out of here and get to work..............

Well, I decided to log back in to post SOMETHING.

I've just been REALLY stinking busy lately with work. I took over managing the liquor store for another store within the company. I LIKE IT A LOT!!!!!

Less manual labor than being the dairy manager, plus I don't get FILTY everyday.

Oh, crap...... It's fixin' to pour outside. I got to go to the store before it starts.

I finally got around to setting up an Ebay store for Maggie, so that she can sell her hand-crafted jewelry online.

This is some VERY NICE crystal beaded necklace, bracelets & earrings. Some are sets and others are single items.

Now, you have to TiVo them just to get by the 80 commercials an hour!!!

I realize that NBC has to "pay the bills", but geez...............

Anyways, I guess I'll watch the ladies skating tonight live.

Damn, it's been a VERY LONG time since I've posted last!!!

Anyways I'm still kicking.

Let's see....... What's been up.......

The wife and I are going to our FIRST Daytona 500 on Sunday. I can't believe it's taken this long to go to one. We only live 90 miles away. We've been to the Pepsi 400 but not the "Grand-Daddy of all Motorsports". We're sitting on turn 1 just off Pit Road.... Right in front of the Jumbotron....... Yipee!!!!

Other news........

The deck is FINALLY done!!! It looks GREAT!! Had a couple of parties out there..... We need to use the hot-tub more often though....

I hate winter in Florida, though it beats shoveling snow........

It won't be long before I'm bitching about the heat..... Go figure.....

I found out the other day that I have to have my right hip replaced..... God that sucks..... I'm ONLY 50, but I guess I'm glad they have the technology to do it. I'm going to wait as long as I can, but it hurts pretty good already.

I think we are going on a cruise again in the summer depending on finances.... We'll see.

I guess that's enough for today.... I'll post more often. (Ya' right)

I can't say enough about Carnival Cruise Lines!!!

We had the VERY BEST time on our cruise. These folks have customer service down to a science!!!

The food was great....... The service was great....... the ship was great.

We were back an hour an the wife was online looking to book another cruise!!!!!

If you have not been on one of these cruises, then find the time and money and GO!!!!!!

Everything OK So Far......

Well most Albertson's in Jacksonville have closed. The transition to Rowe's Supermarkets is done for me. (68 hours last week) (Whew, glad that over!!!)

It's too early to tell if this will work, but at least I still have a job.

I hope it all works out, as I still REALLY LIKE the fact that I walk to work!!!

Payday is on the 18th, so if Rob Rowe makes payroll then I guess we are moving on the right track. (ie: making a profit)

I need to go to bed now because 5 A.M. arrives rather early for me these days.....

(Guess I'm just getting old)

Deck Update # 3

Well it's been a long time since posting last, so here goes........ The deck is 90% done. All that is left is some railings and to put down some Thompson's Water Sealer. The hot tub is hooked up and running. :-)

We have new sod in the backyard and the water garden is about 75% done.

So, I guess that's all about the deck. I'll have to start bitching about something else now.

Ok, the footer posts went in smooth. We have framed the deck area and have started laying the planks. Then my son-in-law brought up a VERY GOOD point!!! Conduit for the power. All decks need to have electricity. So I guess I'll get my butt back to Home Depot and buy some!!! Also I'll have to go to a bolt & screw wholesaler to get the deck screws. At Home Depot the are $13.91 a box..... Ouch!!! I'll need about $200 worth that way!!!!. It "should" be 40% cheaper at a wholesaler. We'll see.

We're starting to put a deck on the back of the house. It's a long overdue project. The footer posts go in tommorrow. It "should" done in a month or so depending on the weather and funding.

I'm really getting pissed off about now. I still don't have my 2 fence panels that I need to finish the backyard. I'm going to call NATIONS FENCE in the morning and go off. I've been patient so far, but not anymore.

I will NEVER use them again!!! I will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE!!

Well, the fence is up and I must say we did a pretty fair job. Now if the fence company that I bought the fence from would get off their asses and construct the 2 panels I was short. It's been 2 freaking weeks and NO PANELS!!! I'm starting to worry that the new panels won't color match the first set. It doesn't take long to bleach them out here in Florida, even in the early spring. I guess I need to call them again tommorrow and bitch. You'd think the would be tired of me and just make my 2 panels.

Well, after months of bickering over this and that, the election is finally over!!! I'm glad that President Bush won re-election. Hopefully he will be able to move forward with some of his second term agenda. The war against terrorism has only begun. Iraq needs to hold it's elections. (Then we need to get the hell out of there) Iran is still trying to make a nuclear bomb. (So, I guess they are next) And, of course, that asshole Bin Laden needs to be found and taken care of!!
The economy is still growing. (It really is GROWING you liberals!!) I get sick and tired of these people that say "Bush has lost more jobs than any president in 75 years".... blah, blah, blah) I say to them....... "Do you have a job?" If they say yes, then I say "then who the hell cares if your neighbor has one"..... Quit your f***ing bitching!!!!!
Anyways, congrats to the President!!!!

Oh, ya........ Thank you to the voters from the state of South Dakota for FINALLY removing that dirtbag Daschle!!!!!! Way to go!!!!!
